Meetings and Conferences


Newbiggin Village Hall provides an accessible, welcoming venue for meetings or conferences for three to 130 people. It is ideally situated on north/south and east/west routes, just four miles from M6 junction 40.

At the entrance to the hall the off-road car park can hold 40 cars.  Depending on ground conditions, additional off-road parking may be available.

For less-able delegates the hall is fully wheel-chair accessible including a toilet and shower. There is a hearing loop.

The catering-style kitchen is equipped to serve everything from hot beverages to a full meal. Quality cutlery and place settings for 130 are available.

A large pull-up screen and a 1500w public address speaker are available and can be used in any room. Three rooms are available for meetings and conferences.

Wi-fi is available, free-of-charge, throughout the hall. The Hall has an alcohol licence.

Behind the hall a ¼ acre grassed area may be available for outdoor activities, if required and ground conditions permit.

  

Kells Hall

This spacious hall can hold up to 130 seated.  It can be set out either with delegates at tables. or in a theatre-style arrangement with rows of chairs.

For larger gatherings, such as a buffet reception, it can accommodate about 180 people.

The hall has a full presentation rail system with a white board and a flip chart. There are ample power points for laptops and projectors, etc.

 

Sunbeam Room

This room is suitable for smaller meetings, or as a break-out room from the main hall.

It can hold up to 40 people in theatre-style seating, or up to 30 at tables.

Fluskew Room

This room can also be used for small meetings, or as a break-out room. It is suitable for theatre-style seating for 30, or 20 at tables. There are ample power points.


Hiring

Either the whole hall or individual rooms may be used by the hour, the half-day or the day. Special rates are available for longer periods.

Users of individual rooms will share the kitchen and bar facilities with other users.

User arrangements are inclusive of the use of tables and chairs, and of the bar, kitchen, crockery, cutlery and glassware (if required.)

The opening hours of the hall, when it is available for use, are 8:30 am - 12 midnight.

 

Candles, tea lights, and smoke machines cannot be used in the building because of fire regulations. Fireworks and Chinese Lanterns may not be used outside because of the proximity of livestock.
